Mangaluru: “Balanced diet is a key factor that helps one lead a healthy life”, said Sara Sarafi Zadesh, associate professor of Islamic Azad University, Iran.
She addressed the gathering, recently in a seminar titled “Computer Applications in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Lifestyle Management” organized by the PG Studies in Food Science and Nutrition, Alva’s College, Moodabidri.
She said, “Most of the diseases that we see are due to varied lifestyles. Only when an individual opts for physical activities and quality diet, will he/she be healthy.”
The administrator of the college Prof. Balakrishna Shetty said, “The lifestyle of our elders and ancestors were of good quality. Unfortunately, the current generation has bad health condition due to craving for fast food. It is better to switch on to a healthy diet.”
