Nitte: Former member of Karnataka Legislative Council Capt Ganesh Karnik opined that people should think about their role in uplifting others and contribute to the development of a stronger society.
He was speaking at the function organised to celebrate the 25th year of graduation of the 1989-93 batch of NMAM Institute of Technology organised by the alumni association of the college ‘Vinamitha’.
On this occasion, principal of the college Dr. Niranjan N Chiloonkar presented the 32-year history of NMAMIT. Prof G R Rai, who was the principal of the college during 1989-93, recollected the fond memories of his association with the college.
Alumni of the college spread around the world participated in the event.
President of the alumni association of the college and HOD of MCA department Dr Surendra Shetty welcomed the gathering, Dr Rajesh Shetty introduced the dignitaries present. The representative of the 1989-93 batch of alumni Mamatha Prasad shared her experiences at the college. Treasurer of the alumni association Prabha Ranjan proposed a vote of thanks. Jane, an alumnus of the college, compered the event.
