National Pharmacy Week 2018 celebrated at Yenepoya Pharmacy College

Mangaluru: National Pharmacy Week Celebration was organized from October 10 to November 6 organized by the Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre.

The theme for this year Pharmacy week was, “Pharmacist for Healthy India”.

Director and Senior Consultant of HESDAR, Dr B.G. Nagavi was the Chief Guest and Registrar, Yenepoya (deemed to be University), Dr. Gangadhara Somayaji K.S was the guest of honour. The Principal’s and Faculties of constitute colleges of Yenepoya (deemed to be University) were also present in the inaugural ceremony held on November 5.

Principal of Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre, Dr Mohammed Gulzar Ahmed, welcomed the gathering and gave brief introduction about the Chief Guest.

Dr B.G. Nagavi enlightened the gathering on the theme of Pharmacy week and also explained the role and scope of Pharmacy to the budding Pharmacists.

Registrar of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Dr. Gangadhara Somayaji K. S, addressed the gathering with words of wisdom, enlightened students and explained their importants in future.

Meantime, the prize distribution ceremony was also held, for the competitors who had won in the competitions held with regard to National Pharmacy Week.

Assistant Professor, Nishmitha Gretta D’Souza, explained the significance of the National Pharmacy Week and Assistant Professor, Dr. Sunil S Menghani, explained the report of whole events conducted on account of National Pharmacy Week.
