National Mammography Day 2018 observed at Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing

Mangaluru: As a part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, observed the National Mammography Day October 21 at the LMET Auditorium, 6TH floor, AJ Towers, Balmatta.

Dr Kavitha, Asst. Professor and Radiation Oncologist from AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangaluru was the chief guest and resource person for the day. She stressed on this year’s theme “WE CAN I CAN” and explained to the participants, the importance of breast self-examination and how to detect early signs of breast cancer.

A total of 100 delegates were present for the programme.

A poster competition was also held for the nursing students of all batches and a total of 18 posters were presented.
