Mangaluru: The Milagres College celebrated its Annual Day for the year 2017-18 at the at its grounds on March 20.
Dr. Edmond Fernandes, CEO of CHD Group was the Chief Guest of the event. Rev. Fr. Valerian D’Souza, the Correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor, Campus Administrator/Principal, Cecelia Pereira, Vice President of Milagres Parish Pastoral Parishad, Ivan Fernandes, Secretary of Milagres Parish Pastoral Parishad, Ronald Pinto, PTA President, Cassin Rodrigues, Vice Principal, Milagres College, Prof. Lourdusamy, and Student Coordinator of Cultural Association were present.
Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor welcomed the gathering. The chief guest unveiled the College Magazine “MIRACLE- 2018.”
Dr. Edmond Fernandes, in his address, appealed to the students “to do good for the society.”
Rev. Fr. Valerian D’Souza said that Milagres College had been recognised in the society and received various national awards.
Lecturer and HoD of Department of Languages, Dr. Mamatha N R, who had received the State level best NSS Officer Award, was felicitated.
Cassin Rodrigues read the annual report of the college for the year 2016-17.
Prizes were distributed to the students who had won the competitions organised by the college.
Faculty of Commerce Department Eva Manorama proposed a vote of thanks.
An entertaining cultural programme and a musical show followed the inauguration ceremony.
