Mangaluru: Foreign delegates, Anneliese Klinkhammer, Gisela Schmitten, Kaspar & Gertrud Wirtz and Liesel Meyer, from Germany, visited the St. Aloysius Industrial Training Institute on 29th Feb 2020 and inaugurated the newly bought tools and Equipment in the Mechanic Diesel Workshop which were then blessed by Rev. Fr Dr. Leo D’Souza SJ, former director of the institution.
The formal program commenced with a prayer song. A beautiful welcome dance was presented by the Sewing Technology students. Later, Mr.Roshan D’Souza, Principal escorted the dignitaries which included all the foreign delegates to the dais. Rev. Fr Cyril D’Mello SJ, Director of the institution extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and honored them with a Shawl and Garland.
Addressing the students, Guest, Mrs.Anneliese Klinkhammer said ”We have been associated with this institution for a long time. We conduct some activities like selling books, eatables, calendars, etc at our hometown and send the proceedings to help the underprivileged students in India”. She also encouraged the students to make use of the opportunity being presented by the institution and become self-reliant.
Mr.Roshan D’Souza, Principal proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Robin Vas, Junior Training Officer conducted the program.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem .
