Mangaluru: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised 'Mother Mary Aloysia A. C.- Fifth Endowment Lecture' here on Tuesday, July 2.
Meena Vaidyanathan, Founder and CEO – Nitti Consulting and also an alumna of St Agnes College was the guest speaker. Sr Dr Maria Kripa A. C., superior and Joint Secretary of St Agnes institution, Sr Dr Carmel Rita A.C., Administrator, Sr Dr M. Jeswina A. C., Principal of St Agnes College(Autonomous), Sr Dr Venessa A.C.,Vice-Principal , Sr Dr Olivia A. C., Dr Ita Gonsalves, IQAC Co-ordinator and Prof. Mariola C. Pinto, Convener, were present for this programme.
A documentary on the works and achievements of Mother Mary Aloysia AC, foundress of the college, were compiled together by Sr Dr Venessa A. C.
A floral tribute to Mother Mary Aloysia A.C. was given by all the dignitaries present.
Meena Vaidyanathanthen presided over the gathering.
The speaker spoke on the “Start-Ups, Innovation, Technology – Future of the Millennials”. In her lecture, she said, “Those who swim against the tide are those who create a niche for themselves”. She also said that one needs to always follow their gut as it knows what the head hasn’t figured out yet.
During the occasion of Mother Mary Aloysia A.C-Fifth Endowment Lecture, two distinguished Alumni Renitia Lobo and Shamitha Rao, the founders of Mother Theresa Memorial School, Shankaranarayana, Kundapur Tq, Udupi Dist. were awarded for their path-breaking services in the field of education.
Marina, IQAC secretary welcomed the gathering and Vidya Saraswathi shared words of gratitude. Vinatha compared the programme.
The faculty and the students of UG and PG, the alumni of the college and the PTA members were also present.
