Mangaluru: The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College, organised a guest lecture on September 27 for the students of the first year and secong year MSc Chemistry on the topic “Suitable method for NET/SET preparation” by Dr M. R. Maddani, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Mangalore University.
Dr M. R. Maddani started the session by sharing some information on Chemistry, the history till today with the help of his slides. He also showed various job and higher education opportunities after M.Sc. Chemistry in India as well as abroad.
He explained the exam pattern for NET/SET, marks distribution, preparation steps, the important topics on which the students have to concentrate etc. He also explained the advantages of being a Ph.D. and applying for a job in the industry or in teaching or in research. The session was very informative and stimulating for the students.
Dr Geetha M. Pinto, Head of the Department presented a memento to Dr Maddani.
Varshitha of II M.Sc. Chemistry welcomed the gathering. Zubaida of II M.Sc. Chemistry introduced the guest speaker. Mamatha from II M.Sc. Chemistry delivered a vote of thanks.
