FMHMCH and Mangalore University sign MoU for biomedical research

Mangaluru: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (FMHMCH), Derlakatte, Mangaluru and Mangalore University, Mangalagangotri, have signed a MoU for research in biomedical sciences. The MoU was signed by FMHMCH principal Dr Shivaprasad K. and Mangalore University Registrar Prof. A. M. Khan, in the presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (In-charge), Dr Kishore Kumar C.K. on October 4. The MoU envisages the leveraging of expertise and infrastructure in basic and applied research in Mangalore University with clinicians of FMHMCH.

The MoU foresees collaborative research, joint publications, exchanges of researchers, joint seminars and other areas of academic interest. Mangalore University, since its establishment in 1980 has ventured into collaboration with neighbouring and distant institutes of repute, notable here being the FMHMCH, a unit of the 138-year-old Father Muller Charitable Institution, founded by Rev Fr Augustus Muller.

FMHMCH Research Coordinator, Dr Kurian P.J. and Prof. Monika Sadananda of Mangalore University were present.
