FMCI introduces two state-of-the-art new dialysis machines

Mangaluru: In order to meet the requirement of an acute growth in the number of people requiring the Hemodialysis in the coastal region, the Father Muller Medical College Hospital has extended its services to the general public by adding two new dialysis machines.

The dialysis unit, a part of Department of Nephrology, provides high quality dialysis to patients suffering from kidney failure.

The unit has state of art dialysis machine and equipment catering to patient care. With almost 1800 dialysis done per month, the unit is one of the busiest and largest units in Karnataka.

Professor and HoD, Department of Nephrology, Dr. Manjunath J, and Dr. Amit D’Souza, Nephrology Department, inaugurated the dialysis machine by cutting the ribbon.

Director, FMCI, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, blessed and prayed over the equipment, the doctors, nurses, and patients, who will be dealing with the machines.

Administrator, FMCI, Fr Ajit B. Menezes, Chief Nursing Officer, Sr Janet, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Uday Kumar, Nursing Superintendent, Mary Lassrado, and other doctors and nurses were present on the occasion.
