Mangaluru: “Implementation of theoretical and practical knowledge of workshops helps in the flow of new knowledge”, said Mangalore University Department of Applied Botany former chairman Dr. K R Chandrashekhar.
He spoke as the chief guest of the valedictory of the two-day National-level workshop by the Botany department at University College Mangaluru on Saturday. Many dignitaries including Mangalore University Bioscience department former chief Prof. K R Shridhar, Goa University Botany department former chief Prof. Jayaram Bhat, Lucknow NBRI Principal scientist Dr. Sanjeev Nayak motivated students to take on research on Macrofungi and Lichens.
Presiding over the function, Principal Dr. Uday Kumar M A, hoped that the Botany department of the college may become a creative research center in the future and assured all support from the institution.
Botany Assistant Professor Dr.Siddaraju M mastered the program. Prdeeksha welcomed the guests, while event coordinator Dr. Shobha thanked all.
