In commemoration of National Sports Day, the students and staff of Sahyadri took part in the Fit India Movement campaign launched by the Honourable Prime Minister during the LIVE streaming of the event and pledged to keep themselves fit.
Sahyadri NSS unit in collaboration with Department of Physical Education and Sahyadri Health Centre organized various activities for the staff and students on the occasion of Fit India Movement launched by the Prime Minister on 29th, August 2019. A walkathon event was held for all the teaching and non-teaching faculty and a 10,000 steps challenge was held for the students.
Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal Sahyadri College flagged of the event and the staff went on a three-round walk around the campus. It is noteworthy to mention that in spite of heavy rain the faculty continued and completed the race.
