Addressing the gathering after inaugurating a poesy meet, jointly organized by Kannada and Culture Department and ‘Pratibha Taranga’ at Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana here on Friday, he said that life is is a process of understanding ourselves and gaining maturity. The only the poet has the capacity to overcome any kind of challenges in life. Chief guest, economics associate professor Sunanda U opined that poems should come from experience.
Presiding over the function Akashavani Mangalore former assistant director, poet and writer Dr. Vasantha Kumar Perla said that poems depict the creative personality of a person. However, in contemporary society, the litterateur mindset is decreasing.
In the poesy meet, more than 15 poets presented their works. Botany Associate Professor Dr. Shobha, Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Rajesh G were present among others. Karunakara Balkuru mastered the ceremony.
