Mangaluru: “Dreamathon” is an initiative by DreamSoft Innovations, in collaboration with Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, to bring together like-minded individuals with a passion for coding and technology and provide a platform for these individuals to display their skill sets to companies.
The inaugural of the event took place at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management on April 13 and was graced by Anila Andrade, Associate Vice President of Operations at 99games.
Kiran Sham, founder of DifferenTech Solutions, Pradeep Raj, Operational Manager at CEOL and Dr. Manjappa Sarathi, Director of Research and Consultancy at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management were the chief guests of the programme. They were given a floral welcome and a token of gratitude by the organizers.
The guests, accompanied by Sachin Ganesh, Co-founder of DreamSoft Innovations, lit the lamp to inaugurate the programme.
Each of the dignitaries then addressed the gathering on various topics like, the future of game development and expectations of employers that are hiring graduates. Some initiatives taken up by New Age Incubation Network at Sahyadri were also discussed.
At the end of the inaugural ceremony, the theme for both the Gameathon and Hackathon were announced and the event was declared open.
