Mangaluru: College of Computer Science & Information Science (CCIS), Srinivas University, City Campus, Pandeshwara, organized a two-day national conference on the theme “Recent Advances in Technology, Innovations in IT, Management, Education and Social Sciences” in the college on 12th October, Saturday.
The inauguration of the conference was done by Mr. Praveen Kumar Kalbhavi, CMD & CEO of Novigo Solutions Pvt Ltd. Mangaluru. Addressing the gathering, he said that, future advances in technology will focus on Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and cloud technology.
Nowadays machines are getting smarter than human beings and explained how IOT will help a human being in his day to day life. Also, he explained how students will be choosing their careers in future technologies in the coming days. He added, “it is not sufficient just to have programming skills; it is also important to keep abreast of advancements in technology.”
Dr. P. S. Aithal – Vice-chancellor of Srinivas University presided over the function. He stressed how the intelligence of machines is increasing day by day; these machines he said will eventually overtake humans in terms of their intelligence and replace human beings at the workplace.

Sridhar Acharya – Dean, CCIS, were present on the dais The proceedings of the previous conference and the abstract proceedings of the current conference were released. Research scholars, teaching faculty, professionals from Industry and students presented the research papers at the conference. More than 50 research papers were received and presented at the conference. All the papers presented will be published after reviews from experts and published in international journals along with ISBN proceedings.
