Mangalore: The Youth Red Cross, Aids Awareness Education Cell and the NSS Units of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru and The United Friends Club, Bejai, Mangaluru organised a one-day Blood Donation Camp on February 5.
Chief Guest of the programme Sr. Dr. M Jeswina A.C., Principal, St. Agnes College motivated the students to donate blood and declared the camp open.
Dr. Kirana Pailoor, Blood Bank Officer, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru addressed the gathering on the importance of blood donation.
Nirmal DSouza, President of United Friends Club enlightened the students on the importance of social service activities among the youth.
Lesly Gomes, Convenor, Blood Donation Camp, United Friends Club, Prajwal Rao, Staff Coordinator, YRC, Anitha S, Helen Serrao, Derik and Seema, staff coordinators of NSS were among the other dignitaries present.
Jasmine welcomed the gathering and Renee Johnson proposed a vote of thanks. NSS volunteer Nerissa Noronha compered the programme. About 105 pints of blood were donated.
