AIMIT organizes Manasa Manthana 2018; A platform for innovative ideas

Mangaluru: MAKARIO the Management Club of School of Business Administration, AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Autonomous) had organized the International Level Paper Presentation and Business Plan Contest under the title, “Manasa Manthana 2018”, in the Beeri campus on October 10.

The event proposes significant and current issues with a platform for the students to put forth their views and exhibit their talent, every year.

The theme for this year’s event was “Contemporary Issues in Management”.

This addition’s theme focused on directing and channelizing thinking towards the contemporary issues in management. It makes an attempt to sketch out innovative, feasible and realistic business ideas, which is said to initiate rigorous thoughts and contemplate on new business propositions for the upward mobility of both economy and society at large.

Manasa Manthana is organized in order to build business acumen and stimulate a culture of innovative thinking among the management students.

The inaugural function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Dean, Academics, Dr. Rowena Wright, welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries on the dais.  Dr. Rowena explained the significance of the event and exhorted the participant to come up with innovative, feasible and sustainable practical business plans and ideas.

In his presidential address Principal, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous),  Rev.Dr Praveen Martis SJ, highlighted the five essential principles, that a young manager should be aware of.  He also emphasized that the principles that he said, were to tackle the decision in the VUCA world. 

Rev. Dr. Martisgave gave a thought-provoking inaugural address by advising the young minds to always look for something big, focus on their vision and work towards their goals.

Entrepreneur Albert W D’Souza was the Chief Guest

In his address, he spoke about the challenges that the business houses face in the current scenario pertaining to the retention of employees, impact of globalization and regulatory and financial issues to the students and the participants present.

Director, AIMIT, Rev Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Faculty Co-ordinator Royce Baretto, along with Student Co-ordinators  Ashok Saldana and Deeksha Pemmaiah were also present.

Co-ordinator Ashok Saldhana briefed about Manasa Manthana 2018 to the audience. Reeshel Fernandes concluded the event by delivering the vote of thanks.
