Mangaluru: St Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology (AIMIT), St Aloysius College(Autonomous), Mangalore, has gone online for the various courses offered to students studying in MBA, MCA, MSc(BigData & Analytics) and MSc(Software Technology).
Considering the problems faced due to CORONA VIRUS and subsequent disruption of classes, the Management decided to record lecturers by the faculty and make them available to students in the YouTube AIMIT channel. Already over 50 lectures have been uploaded and the faculty members have been recording lectures and submitting them to be uploaded onto the AIMIT channel. The faculty members will be giving questions and assignments based on the lectures, which the students will submit online. There has been a very good response from students to this initiative and eventually, the Institute will be planning to have all the lectures on YouTube channel for students to access, and also certificate courses will be introduced for anyone interested in learning new topics and enhance their knowledge.
It has also been bought to the notice of the AIMIT Management by some of the alumni that one ADARSH Institute in Bangalore which also uses AIMIT as its acronym has been sending video presentation to students wherein all the pics campus, various programs and infra-structure of AIMIT campus of St Aloysius have been shown as theirs and thus duping prospective candidates. Such unethical practice has been strongly condemned and action will be taken on that Institute.
