Vijayapura: In a bizarre incident, a few men who were caught swimming in a tank on the premises of the NTPC’s power plant in Kudagi, were given harsh treatment on Saturday. A video about the incident has gone viral on Whatsapp.
It is said that securitymen who found the youths swimming in the tank, asked them to come out. The video shows a securityman making a youth do 40 push-ups. When the youth gets exhausted, the securityman is seen putting his leg on him so that he does not stop. Some people are heard making fun of the youth in the video.
Locals in the area said that they had seen the video on Whatsapp and had no information about it, but expressed anger at the management of the power unit run by the National Thermal Power Corporation. Ravindra Naikodi, the police sub-inspector of Kolhar, said he had no information about the incident. The officials of the power plant were not available for comment.
