It may be noted that with an objective of educating visitors, mainly students about the various theories, concepts and laws of Science, Mathematics, Geography, Physics and Biology – the authorities of Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL) have developed a science theme park in Mughal gardens. The garden is developed in vast 1.2 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crores.

The KBJNL in association with the Department of Forest have developed the different types of gardens in the Almatti Dam. Even in the off-season thousands of tourists’ throng into the Almatti gardens to take a glimpse of the water reservoir and different themed gardens like Italian, Mughal, French, Japanese lake and Rock gardens developed in over 77 acres of land.

In order to make the gardens more attractive and educative for students the authorities have initiated to set-up Science Theme Park in Mughal gardens. Over 80 project models detailing the laws, theories, concepts of Science, Physics, Mathematics and other subjects have been set-up in this theme park.

The authorities not only set-up the project models but also made them high-tech by introducing Quick Response code (QR code) to every model, where the student can get all the information about the model by scanning the QR code set-up next to each model. Apart from this a private firm GyanPro company, which is setting up the science models, will depute two to three staff to detail the students or children about the models.

Suresh H, Chief Engineer of KBJNL, said that the theme park has been set-up for children and to educate them about science. Among the visitor’s maximum are children. So, in order to make the gardens informative, educative and attractive for children the Science Theme Park is being set-up with a theme ‘Learn with Play’. This is being developed under the funds of KBJNL.

“We will soon inaugurate this and throw it open to the visitors”, he added.
