Vijayapura: SSLC exam was held in a peaceful manner in the district on Monday July 19 with no reports of any malpractice and debarring of any student.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of exams amid the Covid pandemic.

Since the exam was held using objective type question paper which is a new format for the students, the education department had tried its best to prepare the students for the new format so that more students could clear the exam without any confusion.

The preparatory exam was held in several schools of the district where the format of the question paper was shown to the students and made them understand the format clearly.

Meanwhile on Monday, the exam for all core subjects such as Science and Maths was held which was attended by a total of 37794 students. Of them 21607 were boys and 16187 were girls.

Though a total of 38101 students had registered for the exam. Of them 21806 boys and 16295 girls. A total of 320 students remained absent, of them 199 boys and 108 girls.

The total attendance was recorded at 99.2 per cent, of them 99.08 per cent was of boys and 99.33 was of girls.

The KSRTC had provided free transport facility for the students who are attending the exam. The KSRTC had said that the students will be dropped to their exam centre for free, however the students who are attending exam, should carry the hall ticket to avail the facility.

During the exam, police personnel were seen outside the exam centre to prevent any outsiders entering the exam centres.

Medical staff was also deployed at the exam centre to ensure sanitizers were applied to all students and staff. Thermal scanning was also done before allowing the students and staff to enter the exam halls.

After the exam, students had mixed responses for the exam. While most of them found the exam easy, some felt it was a bit tough. However, the majority of them appeared to be happy about attending the exam.
