Hospet: Former MLA from Congress, Ramesh Jarkiholi showed his support to Kampli constituency Congress MLA J N Ganesh, here on Wednesday, February 20, and suspected the hand of a Congress leader in the fight between MLA Anand Singh and J N Ganesh in the Eagleton Resort that took place on January 20, 2019.

Ramesh who visited Ganesh’s residence at Chapparadahalli, met his wife Sridevi.

Later, addressing the media he said that there was no hard and fast rule that a person who had become MLA for the first time must not be a minister and that he would one day become a minister from the same party.

Meantime he added, ”Politics is like a flowing stream of water.”

He has requested for a thorough probe into the fight between the two MLAs and has said that Kampli Ganesh was being made a ‘scapegoat’ in the matter with the influence of a powerful leader from the Congress party.

Ramesh said that Ganesh had explained to him about the incident and said that he too has sustained injuries on his hand.

According to Ramesh, while discussing the issue, Ganesh has told him that Anand Singh had demoralised and insulted the caste and community that he belonged to. It was he who stopped Ganesh from giving a complaint on the issue, he added.

He has demanded that the Hagaribommanahalli constituency Congress MLA Bhima Nayak spill the beans on whatever he had witnessed in the resort and questioned why should Ganesh surrender in this matter when he had not committed any mistake.

Ramesh has also demanded the withdrawal of the case in the core committee meeting.
