Ballari: State Water Resource Minister and District In-Charge Minister D K Shivakumar has opined that Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate V S Ugrappa would win the Ballari Lok Sabha, here on Tuesday, April 2.

Addressing the media after the nomination filing by Ugrappa in the Deputy Commissioner’s office, DKShi said that the nation would observe a change in the leadership after this election.

“Voting is the supreme tool that the people have in their hands. It is for them to think wisely and vote for those who really work towards development”, he added.

DKShi said that the Congress party had requested the people of the district to vote for Ugrappa, so that he could work for more than five years and that their request had reflected in the results, where he had won with a mammoth margin.

He said, “My agenda is to carry out all round development of the district as the district in-charge minister and will work towards pushing our coalition candidate towards victory. I am happy that all the coalition ministers and leaders have come together during Ugrappa’s nomination filing. This shows our true unity.”

Meanwhile, Ugrappa has submitted four nominations to the Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar.

He was accompanied by State Minister for Medical Education E Tukarama, State Minister for Labour P T Parameshwar Naik, Member of Rajya Sabha Syed Naseer Hussain and other leaders.
