Hampi temple open to tourists with sunrise henceforth

Ballari: In big relief to thousands of tourists who visit the world heritage site of Hampi, State Department of Culture, Museums, Heritage has decided to change the visiting hours for the tourists.

Till now, tourists were allowed to enter the Hampi monuments only between 8 am and 6 pm, but now the gates for tourists will be opened at 6 am.

“Visiting hours for the Hampi monuments revised to 6 am to 6 pm. This change has been introduced keeping in mind the demand of the tourists who want to enjoy the sunrise from the monuments,” informed officials.

“This change is applicable to Vijaya Vittal temple, Anesalu Mantap and Kamal Mahal which are east faced,” said an officer.
