Bellary: The BJP which has set its eye on the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections is already keen to bring back former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and Sriramulu to the party. Sources said the party leaders are hopeful that the two would soon be back in the BJP.
As if to substantiate this, former deputy CM KS Eshwarappa who spoke to reporters at Bellary said senior BJP leaders have agreed to reinduct Yeddyurappa into the party. He said the party high command has also been requested to give its green signal to the reinduction of Sriramulu to the party in its best interests. He hoped that the leadership would respond positively to this plea.
On the areca ban proposal, Eshwarappa said it may prove dangerous and suggested that an all party meet be convened to come to a final decision on the issue.
