Bellary:Soon after the special CBI court on Monday rejected former tourism minister and Hospet legislator B.S. Anand Singh’s application for anticipatory bail, sleuths of the premier investigating agency reportedly issued a look out circular (LOC) for the accused in Belekeri iron ore export scam.

While a look out notice has been issued to all police stations, the CBI has filed an application seeking the court’s permission to issue “red corner notice” to nab Singh who is undergoing treatment for a heart-related ailment in Singapore.

Sources said once the CBI sleuths get the court’s nod, they would seek the help of Interpol to issue an international alert or a “red corner notice” seeking the arrest and extradition of Singh.

Meanwhile, some sources said that he fled to London via Singapore, while some others maintained that would surrender before the designated court on Tuesday or Wednesday before the issue of a red corner notice by the investigating agency.

Singh, owner of M/s Vaishnavi Minerals, was initially listed as a witness by the CBI in the charge sheet filed against M/s S B Logisitcs Company in the Belekeri case. Later, he was made an accused in the case and summoned for questioning after CBI sleuths unearthed some vital clues about his involvement in the scam. Singh, however, failed to turn up for questioning and fled to Singapore from where he filed an application for anticipatory bail on medical grounds.
