Ballari: Mesmerised by his soulful voice, an elderly man from Ballari has expressed his desire to donate his eyes to the visually impaired singer, who is contesting in a reality show.
Siddalingana Gowda (74), from the Kotturu village in Ballari, had liked the performances of Rithvik, a contestant on ‘Saregamapa’ telecasted on Zee Kannada, so much so that he has now decided to donate his eyes to the visually impaired singer.
Gowda said that his father had always told him to do good and he has lived by those words. “It will be meaningful to donate my eyes. I learnt about the eye donation possibilities recently. Hence, I have decided to donate my eyes after my death. My wish is that my eyes must be donated to Rithvik,” he said.
Gowda lives all lone and with no one to bank on, his decision has garnered a lot of appreciation.
