Hospet: A 55-year-old man accused of raping a minor girl for months is absconding and a case has been filed against him in the Rural Police Station here on Tuesday, April 9 late night.
The accused Devaragudi Chandrashekharappa (55) from Nagenahalli had been raping the girl for three continuous months from November 2018 and when her parents came to know that her menstruation cycle had stopped, they took her to a doctor for treatment, according to police. Here it was confirmed that she was pregnant.
Police sources also confirmed that the complaint was filed by the minor’s mother.
Meanwhile, the accused is absconding and the police have begun the search operations.
