VHP to hold Hindu Sabha and Seers’ convention in Belagavi

Belagavi: Keeping forth some of the issues concerning the Hindus, the Vishwa Hindu Parishat has decided to hold a Hindu Sadhana and seers’ convention in Belagavi on February 25.

Speaking to reporters, VHP area convener Keshava Hegade said that the aim of the event is to deliberste upon ways to strengthen unity, prevent cow slaughter and prevent conversion of Hindus into other faiths. The event will also focus on implementing the resolutions passed at ‘Dharma Samsad’ held in Udupi from November 24 to 26.

More than 150 Hindu seers will participate in the ‘Santa Samavesh’ to be held at 10 am at Jirge auditorium and Mega Hindu convention will be held in evening 4pm at Lingaraj college ground on the same day.

“Certain forces working against Hinduism are getting powerful. They are converting Hindus. This event is not to favour any political parties,” he said.

VHP Block President Krishna Bhat, Dr BV Shinde, Dr RK Bagi, Ragunandan Kondebittu were present.
