State Govt plans to ban Maharashtra Ekikaran Samithi

Belgaum :Discussion will be held with CM Siddaramaiah and Home minister K J George with regard to the banning of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samithi(MES),said Excise and District in-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi.

Speaking to the reporters Minister said that action will be taken, after conducting an inquiry, against MLAs Sambhaji Patil from Belgaum south and Arvind Patil from Khanpur for instigating violence in the area as well as installing Maharashtra state plaques.

Belgaum witnessed violence when the administration removed plaques on Friday July 25.

Action will be taken against those who promote dissatisfaction among the communities under IPC section 153 (A), he said.

A few miscreants had installed Maharashtra State Plaques in Belgaum.
