Belagavi: In a joint operation, the election officials and tax sleuths seized Rs 4 Crore cash being carried in auto rickshaw without valid documents at Sankeshwar last night.
They also seized shirts valued over Rs 70 Lakh from another auto the same night. Both the cash and the shirts have been handed over to the Sankeshwar Police Station, revealed Goods and Service Tax (Enforcement) Commissioner Ravi J Sanctus.
They seized another vehicle carrying 250 kg almonds without documents.
