Renowned Soudatti Yallammana Gudda to get rail connectivity: HK Patil

Belagavi: Keeping in mind the number of tourists thronging Renuka Temple, which is popularly called Yellamma Temple, at Yellamma Gudda, Soudatti, the government has made necessary efforts to provide basic facilities at the temple such pure drinking water, good road connectivity, bath rooms and other all basic amenities.

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj H K Patil, after laying foundation stone for the various development works worth Rs 136 crore being taken up by the Muzrai, PWD, Rural development and Panchayat Raj ministry along with Sri Renuka temple fund committee at Yallammana Gudda, said that all these works will be completed within one year he said.

Lakhs of devotees visit Yallamana Gudda from neighbouring state Maharashtra. Thus a railway connectivity will be helpful for devotees, he said adding that only 70 km railway line needs to be laid to provide rail connectivity to this temple. The state government is ready to provide 50% share for construction of this railway line. This work would be started in two years he said.

Minster for Muzrai and Textile Rudrappa Lamani said that the holy place will be developed on the lines of Tirupati Tirumala.

District Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, MP Suresh Angadi, Saudatti MLA Anand Mamani, MLC Mahantesh Kawatagimath, Temple committee President Ramangouda Tiprashi were present.
