Belagavi: Rebel MLA from Congress Ramesh Jarakiholi may be quitting the Congress party soon.

While speaking to reporters at Gokak in Belagavi, on Tuesday, he said that though he has made up his mind, he has not yet decided when he would quit.

He has said that when former MP Ramesh Katti was denied ticket from Chikkodi LS constituency by the BJP, Yeddyurappa, BJP state president held a meeting with him to convince him to work for the selected candidate. “In Congress, nobody cared to talk or convince me when I was hurt,” he said adding that on learning about the disappointments that he had, the Congress should have made attempts to know the reasons behind the same.

Ramesh Jarakiholi’s brother and Forest minister Satish Jarakiholi was supporting their younger brother Lakhan Jarakiholi who was aspiring to become an MLA.
