Belagavi: In a dramatic twist to the ongoing rebel activities in the Congress’ Belagavi district unit, Amaranatha Jarakiholi has unanimously been selected as director of the Belagavi district milk producer’s union.
He is one of seven directors, who are yet to be elected as more than one candidate is in the fray.
According to sources, the BJP is behind Amaranath Jarakiholi’s unanimous selection to the union. “BJP leader Balachandra Jarakiholi, uncle of Amaranath Jarakiholi has ensured his unanimous selection as a director,” informed sources in the KMF.
“Amaranath Jarakiholi is expected to contest for the post of union president. If he is elected president, he will become a director of the KMF, which is a good launch pad for politics,” said sources in the BJP.
