Belagavi: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Ashwamedha train, which passes through six states from Karnataka, at Mysuru on February 19.
Speaking at an interaction programme with entrepreneurs association and businessmen at Belagavi, the Minister said that the train which starts from Mysuru passes through Bengaluru, Hubballi, Belagavi, Satara, Pune, Mumbai, Udaipur, before reaching New Delhi.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will announce Humsafar train on the occasion. This train connects four main states-Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh with Karnataka, he added.
As the preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections is on, political activities have geared up and the PM is visiting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s home turf on February 19. After his visit to Bengaluru for the valedictory of Parivarthana Yathre, now within the span of 15 days, Narendra Modi is visiting the state once again.
