Belagavi: An Omni car suddenly caught fire near Rani Chennamma Circle on March 22. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Police sources said that the ill-fated car belonged to Parashram Kagalkar of Maharashtra. Six people were travelling from Maharashtra to visit a relative admitted at the District Hospital in Belagavi. As the car reached Rani Chennamma Circle, it was suddenly engulfed in flames. The fire extinguishers immediately rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
The police are investigating the case. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
