Gokak: An outing with friends at the Gokak water falls, on the occasion of Ramzan turned tragic for a youth.
35-year-old Ramjan Hussain Kaaji slipped and fell to death from a height of nearly 40 feet, on Saturday (June 16) evening while trying to venture close to the falls. It is gathered that he had arrived at the falls with his friends and the gang had been consuming alcohol.
A video footage of the incident, captured on a cellphone has gone viral in Belagavi district and has been serving a reminder that people should exercise caution while visiting falls.
A case is registered in Gokak Police station.
