Belagavi: State Forest Minister Satish Jarakiholi has warned his brother and MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, here on Sunday, April 21 against leaving the Congress party.

He has said that Ramesh will have to face the consequences if he supported the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), directly or indirectly.

Satish has said, “As he is not in the party now, CLP leader Siddaramaiah has already decided to file a complaint with Speaker Ramesh Kumar. If that complaint is accepted, then the game is over.”

“There is no point in party taking any action against him, as he has already openly told his supporters that he was not given the position that he was expecting”, he added.

He has opined that the Congress supporters of the Gokak assembly constituency would vote for the Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Belagavi constituency, Virupakshi S. Sadhunnavar, while Ramesh’s close supporters would definitely vote for the BJP candidate.

Satish said, “Lok Sabha election is like a semi-final match and its result will be known soon. Final match is coming up in about six months (referring to Rajya Sabha elections). We are excited about that match.”

He has hinted that the BJP leaders would definitely begin ‘Operation Lotus’, once the results of the Lok Sabha polls are out.
