Belagavi: Three labourers who were working for the road widening project of Belagavi-Khanapur have lost their lives, here on Monday, May 27, due to a heap of mud falling on them.
The incident is reported from Desur village.
The deceased are identified as Arjun Singh (21) and Durgesh Kumar (22). The identity of the third person is yet to be ascertained.
According to police, when the labourers were digging in a lower area for the construction of the bridge, a heap of mud fell on them, all of a sudden.
A JCB has been deployed to lift the mud and recover the bodies.
A case has been filed in the Belegavi Rural Police Station.
