Belagavi: A CRPF Jawan from Belagavi district succumbed to injuries In the militant attack on April 3, in the trouble-torn Kashmir valley.
Basappa Hanumanthappa Bhajanthri (55), resident of Bylura village of Kittur taluk is the deceased. Basappa deputed to oversee security during recent by polls in the valley, came under sudden terror attack near Panth Chowk.
When militants attacked a CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in the state’s Pulwama district 6 troopers and two civilians, including a girl were injured on Monday, April 3.
Unfortunately Basappa succumbed to injuries soon after reaching hospital.
Basappa served in CRPF for 18 years and his body is likely to arrive in Goa today
