Belagavi: Shailesh Joshi (40), managing director of Amrut Pharmaceuticals committed suicide by shooting self with his revolver at his Belagavi residence on May 4.
Shailesh, it is said had been suffering from health-related issues and had recently separated from his wife. Popular for the Amrut Malam ointment of the company, Shailesh was staying with his mother at Ganeshpur here.
As per reports, Shailesh’s mother and neighbours were alerted by a gunshot from his room in the wee hours of June 4. When they rushed to check they found Shailesh lying dead in a pool of blood. The police visited the spot and a case was registered.
