Bengaluru: Amid war of words between leaders from Karnataka and Kerala over opening the Kodagu-Kerala, Mangaluru-Kerala road for the movement of the vehicles to deliver essential services, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has promised Kerala CM that he will talk to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue.
In a letter to the Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, he stated that PM Modi has assured opening border roads for the movement of vehicles carrying essential goods and ambulances and opening hospitals round the clock for the patients.
“I will take up this issue with Hon’ble PM @narendramodi who had assured that the supply of essential commodities will be maintained and hospital facilities will be kept open round the clock so as to prevent any untoward incidents,” he tweeted along with his two pages letter to the Kerala CM.
He appreciated the action taken by the Kerala government to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
