Ramanagar: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy who has been in news for his series of tweets over the Mangaluru police firing incident during CAA protest and asking whether parliamentarian Tejasvi Surya and thinker Chakravarti Sulibele were important national personalities for anyone to kill them has made yet another remark. This time, the former CM has trained guns against  Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and state rural development and panchayat raj minister K S Eshwarappa.

Reacting to the K S Eshwarappa’s tweet who had termed him ‘fool’ for criticizing Surya and Sulibele, on Sunday HDK said, “It is good for KSE if he controls his tongue. I had earlier given a statement saying that only poor families send their children to the army. I stand by my statement even today. Will CM BSY and KSE send their children to the army? Is it not true that only poor families send their children to the army?”

Lambasting and questioning the BJP leaders over the life threat to Sulibele and Surya by SDPI, HDK said, “The BJP leaders say that stones were thrown at them during the pro-CAA protest at the Town Hall. The stones were thrown several days back. Why are they speaking about it now and trying to blame one organization and community now? They are diverting the issue. I urge them to look at their mistakes first and then blame others, as this government is up for all new drama. We can’t believe them until investigations are carried out.”

Meanwhile, reacting to the BJP government’s decision on banning SDPI, he said, “I’ll not comment on this now as I have to understand what exactly had happened. I’m not a person who will jump to conclusions all of a sudden.”
