Bengaluru: One may wonder why Congress is silent when BJP is making all the noise in the state with a number of outreach programmes like lunch at Dalits’ house etc? But in reality, Congress is silently working hard to ensure that it will romp back to power in the state Assembly elections 2018.
After meeting with various community leaders, now AICC state in-charge unit is busy preparing an all inclusive poll manifesto for the party for the upcoming Assembly election. A dedicated team of volunteers and leaders who are supervising the party state unit activities are now planning to invite heads of major NGOs of Karnataka and industry leaders to prepare a state-specific manifesto.
A leader who is a part of this exercise informed that as NGOs are working at grass root level to include their experience, thoughts in the party manifesto to make it more inclusive. “This exercise will be applied to MP, Rajasthan and Delhi Assembly elections too. In 2013, AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi had held such an exercise in Bengaluru by taking view points from all the stakeholders,” he said.
