Bengaluru: With BS Yeddyurappa sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, bigger challenge is now before the BJP. The party will have to prove its majority within 15 days and speaking on these lines, BJP MLA Sriramulu has expressed his confidence of passing the test.
“We will prove the majority like nobody can imagine and B S Yeddyurappa will continue as the Chief Minister even after the floor test,” he said.
Speaking to media persons on Thursday, after the oath taking ceremony of B S Yeddyurappa, Sriramulu confidently said that Siddaramaiah wants to gain power in other ways.
Now, people have blessed the BJP and it has emerged as the single largest party in the state. Accordingly, B S Yeddyurappa has taken oath as the new Chief Minister today and we will prove the majority soon, he said.
For a query regarding proving majority (112 seats) from present 104 seats, Sriramulu said, “Independent MLAs are in contact. Many will come with us. They will come in big number that you cant imagine and we will prove the majority. Just wait and see.”
