Bengaluru: Much-awaited sequel of Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Bahubali’ is going to be released soon. Even as film goers are getting ready to flood the theatres to watch the sequel which holds answer to suspense left behind in the prequel, the movie buffs in Karnataka may be disappointed as the release of the film may meet obstacles due to none other than Kattappa himself.
Sathyaraj, who assays the role of Kattappa, the army chief of the ruler of Mahishmathi had reportedly make comments against Kannada and Karnataka with regard to the Cauvery crisis. Citing this as the reason, pro-Kannada movement leader Vatal Nagaraj has demanded an apology from the actor to make sure that there is no problems cropping up during the release of the multi-crore film that is slated to release on April 28.
Nagaraj has said that if the actor does not budge down to the demand, then the release of the film will not only be stalled but even a Bengaluru bundh will be called for on the same day. Anybody venturing to release the film will have to face the wrath, said the Kannada activist adding that the veteran actor will be directly held responsible for any untoward incidents taking place during the protest.
Though this demand has been made even in the past, Sathyaraj has not resorted to making any comment so far. This time, it is said that several organisations have joined hands with Nagaraj in his demand.
