Bengaluru: In a move which has left many in state of shock, the Upparpet police registered a case against Shyam Bhat, former chairman of KPSC and two others including a JDS leader from Mangaluru. This case raised curiosity as Bhat was appointed by Siddaramaiah when he was the CM and he was often targetted by the JDS leaders.
DCP West Ravi D Channannanavar confirmed that an investigation is on and a case has been registered.
According to the sources, a retired officer lodged a complaint against Bhat and two others alleging that they cheated him after taking money for the post of excise department inspector. The petitioner informed that he has paid Rs.10 lakhs and the accused returned only three lakhs. Ravi D Channannavar informed that an investigation will be carried out.
