Bengaluru: In a big boost to the city infrastructure, the union cabinet approved 58.19 kilometres long Bengaluru Metro Rail Project phase 2A (Central Silk Board Junction to K.R. Puram) & Phase 2B (K.R. Puram to Airport via Hebbal Junction).
The project cost is Rs. 14,788 crores and is expected to give a big push to the city infrastructure and decongestion of the infamous silk board traffic woes.
This is the biggest ever single project granted by the central government to Karnataka in recent years. We can recollect here that the project had found mention in the union budget.
