Two government employees arrested in Bengaluru for selling Remdesivir in black market

Bengaluru: The CCB police arrested two government employees including a BBMP staff over alleged black marketing of Remdesivir injection.

According to the police, these arrests were made after a raid near a private hospital on SJP road of the city.

Among the two arrested, one is a BBMP staff while another is working in the health department. Their associate who is also an employee of the state health department, absconded.

It has been alleged that the trio were selling the injection for Rs 25,000 per dose.

DCP Sharanappa requested the public to share information on the black marketing of any health products including oxygen and Remdesivir.
