Bengaluru: Two BBMP emoloyees died due to the Covid 19 on Tuesday, July 14. These are the first casualties reported from the BBMP.
Nataraj, 58, tax supervisor from Yalahanka and Timmaiah, 54, a revenue section officer from Chamarajpet are the deceased employees.
Nataraj’s daughter is a doctor. She was tested positive first in his family. Later, his wife was tested positive. However, while the mother and daughter recovered, Nataraj breathed his last in a private hospital.
Timmaiah also breathed his last in a private hospital. He was the first one in the family to develop Covid 19 symptoms.
The BBMP employees’ association has urged the state government to release Rs.30 lakh relief to the family of the deceased.
